Treasure Depths is a solo dungeon scrawler where you dive for sunken treasure while your oxygen supply ticks down. Form interconnected words to navigate deeper through a flooded cavern, collecting treasure scattered along the way. But every word you form uses precious oxygen, and if you run out before reaching the surface, you lose everything. On Your Turn: Place a word on the map by writing letters along your path. Each word must connect to your previous word by sharing or touching a letter horizontally or vertically. Every word you place costs oxygen from your limited supply. As you navigate, collect treasure chests scattered across the ocean floor by passing through or adjacent to them. The Challenge: You begin at the surface with a fixed amount of oxygen. Descend to the seabed, grab as much treasure as you can carry, then plot your route back to the surface before your air runs out. Each word placement drains your oxygen supply, forcing you to balance greed against survival. Do you push deeper for one more chest, or play it safe and return with what you have? Winning and Losing: The game ends when you return to the surface or run out of oxygen. If you surface successfully, your score combines the value of collected treasure with any remaining oxygen (rewarding efficient route planning). If you run out of oxygen before reaching the surface, you lose everything—the treasure, the game, and your life. Integration with Word Dungeon: Treasure Depths uses Word Dungeon's core mechanic of spelling interconnected words to navigate a hand-drawn map, but replaces monster battles with resource management. Instead of fighting enemies, you race against your dwindling oxygen supply in a push-your-luck challenge where every move matters. —description from the designer
