Welcome to the Finnish region of P ij t-H me! In this game, players are traveling with the cartoon characters Penjami and Jepulis, answering trivia in this region of eleven municipalities - Asikkala, Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, H meenkoski, K rk l , Nastola, Lahti, Orimattila, Padasjoki and Sysm - grouped around the southern end of lake P ij nne. Players start in the largest city and regional capital, Lahti, all questions are multiple choice with three possibilities, and a right answer nets you the card of the municipality with the coat-of-arms, motto, and some basic facts about the place. The player with the most cards after all have been distributed wins! This game suitable for all ages was published by the regional council of P ij t-H me as part of an EU-supported project in a print run of 2000 copies. A Christmas book, "Penjami ja Jepulis Joulukyl ss " that ties in to the theme and has the same two main characters was published for the preceding Christmas of 2011 by the same designer-artist duo. Note: As the game is from 2012 the list of municipalities may seem a bit odd to the modern viewer; there are currenly only ten municipalities in the region, namely Asikkala, Hartola, Heinola, Hollola, Iitti, K rk l , Lahti, Orimattila, Padasjoki and Sysm . Iitti does not appear in the game as it was transferred to the P ij t-H me region from the Kymenlaakso region in 2021, and since the publication of the game H meenkoski has been absorbed by Hollola, while Nastola is now a part of Lahti. Note2: The somewhat odd names of the main characters (who have no actual role in the game, except for box and board art) are a reference to a famous and eccentric sewage collector in early 20th century Lahti, nicknamed "Jepulis-Penjami". There are many great stories still circulating about him in the city!
