Description

Michitori is an abstract game for 2 to 4 players. The rules are super simple: Players take turns placing a path tile from their hand and one of their pieces. If you sandwich an opponent's piece with your own pieces, you can convert that piece to yours. The player with the most pieces on the board at the end wins. Despite the simple rules, the game is highly strategic and deep. When placing a path tile, all paths must connect. All players receive the same set of path tiles (5 types x 2 tiles each, though 2-player games use 5 types x 4 tiles each), making the order of tile usage and observing other players' tiles critical. Corners can be taken, but also outmaneuvered. Four-player games create different board states each time, leading to unpredictable developments. It's a game anyone can easily enjoy, yet it's hard to master.
