Kill The Queen

A kingdom is in turmoil as 2-players go head-to-head on opposing sides of the conflict. Players will use subjects and nobles to accomplish their unique goals by sending cards to jail, manipulating the council, hiding cards from the enemy, stealing cards, killing cards, and more actions. Each turn a player will play a card, resolve its effect, discard that card, then draw 2 or more cards (based on cards played or in play) and then discard down to the hand limit. Then it's the next players turn and both players go back and forth until one of the players meets one of their win conditions. Players take control of one of the two dueling roles, both of which have one of two unique win conditions they must accomplish in order to win the game. One side is the Conspirators, who win the game by using an Assassin to kill the Queen without getting blocked by a Knight, or by placing four Noble Conspirators on the council to overthrow the Queen. The other side is the Protectors, who win by playing all three Royal Jewels, where each Jewel gives the Protectors a larger hand size and more card draw, but they must discard their whole hand when they play a Royal Jewel potentially making themselves very vulnerable to an assassination attempt. The other way the Protectors can win is by killing all Assassins in the game and three Noble Conspirators, making a Conspirator win impossible. Utilize a variety of strategies as either side in this easy to learn, lightly-asymmetric card game. —description from the designer
