Idol no Oshigoto is a trick-taking game where the players try to increase the rankings of their favorite idols, as well as buying their merch. The deck consists of cards in four suits, but instead of the traditional numeric ranks, the cards have letters that correspond to different idols (e.g. H, N, or K). Each player is assigned a different favorite idol during setup, and the idols are sorted into a random ranking order. During the trick play and resolution, players may end up trading the cards they played or adding votes to an idol card to adjust its order in the ranking. At the end of each round, players score positive points for some idols, depending on their ranking and how many cards they have, and lose points for others. The player with the most points after several rounds wins.
