In Relic Rush, you are a wizard controlling an avatar inside a magical maze. You don't just move your avatar through the maze; you cast spells to modify the maze throughout the game. Your goal is to outplay rival wizards, collect relics, and be the first to reach the Oracle at the center of the board. How to Play (See the full instructions, under the Files tab on this page.) Each turn starts with a dice roll for Action Points. You spend these points to play cards from a deck of over 200 spells. Not only does every game start with a fresh maze, it is changed by your and your rivals' spells, in your race to the next Relic tile. These spells drive the game's progress, allowing you to traverse the maze, modify it to open a path for yourself or to block your opponents, and to interrupt your opponents in the most creative of ways. There are 2 Portal tiles and 2 Volcano tiles on the board, which can be moved around the board throughout the game, by any player who rolls a 6. When you end a turn on a Relic tile, you flip it over to its "Enchanted" side and pick up a Relic card. This reveals a new board element — you might find a bonus like mana or extra cards, or a penalty tile that impedes your progress. If you don't use all your action points, they can turn into mana. You need to save up mana to win, but you can also spend it during the game as bonus action points, or use it to launch direct attacks on other players, flip hidden tunnels and more. To Win To claim victory, you or your team must complete three tasks: Collect Relics: Reach a target number of Relic cards (4 to 12) based on the player count. Gather Mana: Reach the maximum limit of 10 mana tokens. Reach the Oracle: Once you have your relics and mana, end your turn on the Oracle tile. —description from the designer
