Fame & Fiction is a 20-30 minute area-control hybrid card game in which players take on the role of tactician, summoning figures drawn from myth, legend, and history to compete for influence on a shared game board. On a player s turn, they play cards onto hexes facing any of six directions, changing the landscape of the board. Positioning matters: cards interact with their neighbors, creating opportunities to inact combos, control valuable regions, and thwart opponents plans. Each decision balances risk and reward as players expand their influence through clever placement and timing. Gameplay unfolds over a fixed number of rounds, with each player taking exactly five turns. At the end of the fifth round, players get a point for each hex they control.
