In FinMaster, players are investors building a portfolio across multiple asset classes, from savings and retirement products to property, stocks, businesses, and alternative investments. The market is always moving, and each round brings new events that can boost one part of the economy while hurting another. In your turn, you play an Event that affects specific asset classes, then roll the dice and assign one result to the + side and one to the - side to determine how the market shifts. If you choose, you can also activate an extra Power die by explaining the financial jargon on your Event card within a time limit, giving you more influence over the outcome. All players with affected assets either gain or pay cash based on the dice results, then you can optionally buy, sell, or trade assets before everyone receives income from the bank. When the final Event cards have been played, the game ends with an Armageddon phase where each player reveals and resolves one final face-down Event. After that, everyone calculates their net worth by adding their cash to the return values of their assets. The player with the highest net worth becomes the FinMaster. —description from the designer
