Mechanics
Description

A race between drugs and bugs. The goal is to reach the finish line while curing or killing as many infected patients as possible. With a focus on bacterial infections, the game shows the most relevant aspects of the "silent pandemic": The growing global number of AMR (anti-microbial resistance) cases. Use progress, boost and setback cards to move forward on the board. One player may reduce the progress of another player by playing a setback card related to either drug development or microbial resistance. The cards may be played according to a 3x3 matrix providing each player with contraints as well as tactical opportunities with respect to the cards that can be played alone (or in combination). The game ends when the finish line is reached by either a drug or a bug. The winner is the one with the most points according to an asymmetrical score system. —description from the designer
