The "Mad Rooster Tour" begins! We find ourselves in the south-western Finland town of Laitila, known mainly for egg farming, egg farming and... Did I say egg farming already? Here, everyone first gets a task card with a starting position and role as well as instructions on which waypoints in Laitila to visit to carry it out - for example, as a council representative you may get to take the President of Finland on a bicycle tour of some homestead museums, or as a technician for the local telecommunications company, install some broadband and fix an old lady's phone on the way. Then, let's get going by roll and move! Hitting an event space will cause you to draw an event card, which are all somehow connected to the local businesses and institutions. Hitting a numbered space will give you a special task to carry out, and this could be almost anything - you may have to sing, recite a poem, hug a fellow player, dance a funny dance, or even try speaking the Laitila dialect. Naturally, many of the tasks are somehow egg-themed. But, if you hit one of the dreaded Rooster's Foot spaces, you'll get sent on the "Mad Rooster Tour" around the game board - a useless wild goose chase so to speak, which will only end when you roll an even number on the die. First player to complete the tour given to them in the starting card wins! Rules in the Laitila dialect, but fortunately a Finnish translation is also provided. Oh? What actually is the 'Mad Rooster', you ask? Well, it's the heraldic animal of Laitila of course - check out the coat-of-arms! (This game has been designed as a team effort by the pupils and teachers of the schools of Kappelim ki and Myllym ki, and the students of German language from the Varppee school. Rules in the Laitila dialect by Oili Vainio.)
