In this competitive trick-taking game, players battle against unique monsters that change the rules of play each round. Each monsters special abilities can alter trump suits, trick conditions, and create unique win conditions. Keeping players on their toes. Each battle consists of 10 tricks — unless the monster's special ability dictates otherwise — forcing players to adapt on the fly. To win, players must be the first to defeat three monsters. After defeating a monster, players gain access to its trophy, which they can use in later rounds to gain an edge in future battles. Those who don t win a round aren t left behind — they receive equipment to strengthen their chances in the next encounter. With constantly evolving gameplay, strategic use of monster abilities, and clever planning, no two games are ever the same. -description from designer
