It's the year 1799. Friedrich Wilhelm Alexander Von Humboldt, famous prusian geographer, naturalist and explorer, receive the Spanish Crown support to embark on a sicentific journey across the Atlantic Ocean. His goal: explore and document territories, societies and natural species from the New World, a far away territory dominated by the main european powers from the epoch. This travel will change the scientific world forever. Humboldt will document flora and fauna, hike across volcanoes, discover natural phenomena, write about native communities and thoerize about the political future for the Americas. In this travel, Humboldt will build some of the most important pillars of modern science... abd he's not alone. In Humboldt, players will control the great scientist and other three characters that will acompany him across five eras during his journey on South America. Each one of the four explorers will travel deep on unknows territories, will found new territories and write treaties to become the greatest scientist of the time. —description from the rulebook Humbold is a tile-placing and resource management game, were players need to discover and explore moving around these tiles that represent new territories, species and native communities.
