Each character has a different hostage value and shooting strength. In every round, each player decides to do one of the following: Give up their character to someone else as a hostage. You neither gain nor lose points, but the person who receives your hostage gains 3 points. Demand hostages. Without revealing your card, you are implying a strong hand and hoping to earn points through hostages. Start a shootout. The card with the highest shooting strength wins. The losers keep their cards as negative points. You decide whether to bluff and try to convince your opponents to turn over hostages. Beware - losing a shootout could cost you a lot of points!
