"DEADHOLT:Don't Stray!" is a moderately competitive pick-up-and-deliver game with character-building elements, set in a gritty post-apocalyptic universe. In this alternate reality, an alien Life-Seed crashes onto Earth, quickly overgrowing into a planet-wide, titanic forest. Survivors call this strange new environment "The Holt". While playing, you assume the role of a Guide: A veteran pathfinder with unique scores and abilities. Your main objective is to ensure that, by the end of the game, you will have collected the most Metal Scrap(in-game currency). HOW you do that, though, is entirely up to you! In DEADHOLT, there are many ways for players to earn Metal Scrap: Escorting Clients to their destinations, hunting Beasts, fighting other Guides, doing profitable trades or even scavenging around for coins! Players are free to explore and find their preferable play-style. This "Sandbox" nature of DEADHOLT paired with its high variability motivates players to make meaningful decisions and carve a different, personalized path each time they play the game. Asymmetric and interactive, DEADHOLT promotes smart movement, enforces player agency and tactical thinking while also bringing in small doses of controlled randomness in order to deliver a fun and exciting experience. With over 120 mechanically unique cards, custom dice and tokens in the box, players will often find themselves in tricky situations, while still having the tools to come up with a way out. —description from the designer
