Description

Bucket Race is a brand-new strategy and tabletop game where players race to see who can complete their bucket lists first! The first edition is a map of the United States. We welcome fellow explorers, dreamers, trailblazers, curiosity-seekers and casual bucket-listers of every kind to the Bucket Race! The game consists of the following phases: 1. Setting up the game: - Game setup - Player setup - Choose a Home Destination 2. Game flow: - First Turn, Every Turn - Additional Actions - Ending the Game The board has the following components: - Game board (map of US with 5 distinct region with 1 reward lounge each, 45 destinations with a # between 2-12, spaces for 2 supplies that are randomized at the game's onset) - Game pieces: 2 dice, 5 player pieces, 52 deck of Surprise! Cards, 52 deck of Upgrade Cards, 5 wet erase markers, 90 supplies, 5 reward lounge tokens, Money - Rules booklet - 18 Persona Cards/Bucket Lists - the heart of the game is selecting a Persona Card/Bucket List which is the character you will take on and have to complete their bucket list the fastest in order to win. Game flow: Each turn players first collect $100, then roll the dice to see if they can collect additional money (many ways through dice rolls, Surprise! Cards, also if roll doubles get an additional $100!). Then they use money to pay to move their game piece, collect and manage supplies, check-off bucket list items, visit rewards lounges for additional upgrade cards, redeem upgrade cards if in possession, or trade and sell supplies to other players. The first player to check-off all Bucket List items on their Persona Card and travel back to their Home destination, wins the Bucket Race! This is a game where it is best to collaborate early on (trade supplies, help each other out), but then the last stretch it is truly a race to see who can win first! Additionally, the bucket list items are based on real-life bucket lists, so we like to think this is a learning and travel game as well! It is perfect for those that love competitive, strategy board games with travel and culture. 3-5 players or can play in teams. There are 3 versions (Easy Tenderfoot, Medium Trailblazer, Advanced Globetrotter). We recommend starting with Easy first to get the hang of the game. Usually takes between 50-75 minutes to play, although for experienced gamers you could complete in 30-45 minutes if do a speed round. -description from publisher
