Description

The Moon Rocket Race Game is an English 1960's Space Race to the moon and back. A coloured rocket is chosen to make a return moon trip. Movement of the playing pieces uses the 'Cosmic Enumerator', which is best described as a small sealed container that holds 4 coloured plastic balls that swirl around and the colour that stops in a central depression benefits that coloured rocket. On the four corners of the playing board players assemble a nine stage rocket based on the colours called out from the 'Cosmic Enumerator'. The ninth stage is a plastic capsule that moves along a path to the moon in the middle of the board. The path is a series of holes and the capsule has a peg that sits in the holes. After getting to the moon the capsule returns to earth. Just before reaching earth a cardboard parachute is attached to the peg on the capsule to simulate splashdown. The winner is the first to get back —user summary
