Scoria is a deck building game for 1-2 players. In Scoria players adventure within a cavern beneath an erupting volcano. The players seek the idols that hold the power of the ancients- if awoken, balance can be restored to the island. The player who has gathered the most power by invoking the ancients will win. The players start with a basic deck of spell cards - these cards are used to accumulate more powerful spell cards or to win the favor of an idol. Each idol has a requirement for how much spirit the player must have in their hand - spirit comes in 6 different types - and each spell card could contain a variety as well. In addition to invoking the idols, the spells a player accumulates through drafting can be used to negatively effect their opponent, or positivity effect themselves. Once a player has obtained the favor of three idols the game ends - and players total their power; each idol has an associated power value. The player with the most power wins.
