Description

Ten Grand is a geometric progression dice game. Geometric progression refers to the way you get double the points for throwing 4 of a kind as you do for throwing 3 of a kind and so on to 6 of a kind. You play to 10,000 points, hence the name, but the first one there does not necessarily win. The time it takes to play is about ten minutes per player. Even the very young can play – with a little help. You score points by throwing 100 s, 50 s, or 3 or more of a kind of anything. Every game is different and fun because the dice thrower must decide whether to continue to try for more points at greater risk. The game comes with 6 custom dice, rules, a points card, velour carrying pouch and packaged in a beautifully embossed TEN GRAND box. This game is similar to Dice 10,000 and Farkle. It originated in the 1930s (Hugo Kastner: Die gro e Humboldt Enzyklop die der W rfelspiele. Humboldt 2007, pp. 205-208).
